post-graduate supervision at beam

Clinical Supervision That Honors Your Growth

Beam offers clinical supervision for post-graduate clinicians working toward independent licensure (e.g., LICSW, LCMHC) in the state of Vermont. Whether you’re newly graduated or returning to clinical work, we provide a grounded, collaborative space to refine your skills, explore challenges, and grow your professional identity.

We view supervision as a relational, reflective process — not just case consultation. Our supervisors are experienced, trauma-informed, and invested in cultivating the next generation of thoughtful, well-supported therapists.

What You Can Expect

  • Weekly individual supervision with a licensed LICSW or LCMHC

  • Optional group consultation opportunities

  • Clinical documentation feedback and risk assessment support

  • Case conceptualization and ethical decision-making discussions

  • Guidance around professional boundaries, transference/countertransference, and self-regulation in the clinical relationship

  • Supervision hours that meet Vermont OPR requirements for licensure

Supervision Style

Supervisors at Beam blend the clinical with the human. We draw from frameworks including:

  • Relational and psychodynamic theories

  • Somatic and body-based trauma work

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Narrative, culturally-responsive, and anti-oppressive practice

  • Mindfulness and presence-centered approaches

You’ll be invited to reflect not only on what you do in session, but who you are in the room, and how that changes and evolves with experience.

Eligibility

We offer supervision to clinicians working toward:

  • LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)

  • LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor)

  • Other state-recognized pathways (upon review)

Supervisees must be registered with the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation and have an active post-graduate clinical role (private practice, agency, etc.).

Our Supervision Community

In addition to one-on-one supervision, supervisees have the option to participate in:

  • Peer support and consultation groups

  • Facilitated professional development workshops

  • Beam’s broader community of clinicians, interns, and collaborators

We’re building more than supervision. We’re building a practice culture rooted in integrity, sustainability, and care.
