Therapy is a licensed mental health service focused on emotional healing, cognitive and behavioral change, and treating conditions like anxiety, depression, and trauma. Because therapy is regulated by state licensure laws, it can only be provided to clients who live in the same state where the clinician is licensed.
Coaching, on the other hand, is a more flexible service that supports personal growth, mindset shifts, and lifestyle change. It’s not a clinical service and doesn’t involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions—which means it can be offered to people anywhere, regardless of location.
Both can be powerful. The right fit depends on your goals, needs, and where you’re located.

We do our best to meet everyone where they are at and accommodate the whole person.
Sometimes psychotherapy is not the best immediate solution for things like unchecked personality disorders or extreme suicidal tendencies, which are often better served by psychiatric care.
We also only work with children who are experiencing OCD symptomatology.

Most insurance carriers do not cover couples counseling when the reason for therapy is based in relationship challenges.
Insurance may cover family psychotherapy when one of the members of the couple or group have a diagnosable disorder.
Insurance carriers depend on diagnoses to determine eligibility for ongoing mental health coverage.
They also do not provide adequate reimbursement rates that are comparable to the rates for individual psychotherapy.

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network coverage, you may be able to get reimbursed for a portion of your session fees. After you pay for your session, we’ll provide a superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance. Reimbursement rates vary by plan, so it’s a good idea to check with your provider about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
